You will find us 6 miles south of Keswick in Rosthwaite, a traditional Lakeland farming village, and overlooking Stonethwaite Beck. It’s a perfect base for some hill walking, or just for some downtime and getting away from it all.
After a busy day exploring the Lake District, relax in one of our 3 spacious and comfortable en suite rooms. Each room sleeps up to 2 adults and is kitted out with all the essentials to make your stay as comfortable as possible including refreshments tray, flat screen tv with freesat; complimentary toiletries, fluffy towels and hairdryer.
For your evening meal you might eat in house (please book ahead), try some of the hotels/restaurants in the Borrowdale Valley or venture into Keswick with its busy pub and restaurant scene. If you fancy an evening of culture, do check out the Theatre by The Lake at Keswick – where our guests can get a discount for selected productions (a code will be sent on booking). Keswick also has a thriving traditional cinema.
Yew Craggs is in a rural location with dark skies and no street lights – so don’t forget your torch for night time wanders. Yew Craggs is surrounded by the Cumbrian Fells. While these are beautiful, they do interfere with mobile phone signal so please do not expect any coverage in Yew Craggs. However we do offer fast free wifi, so your stay won’t be totally off grid.
Wake up after a great night’s sleep and enjoy a hot shower before your cooked breakfast. While in the breakfast room, meet your fellow guests to compare plans for the day and take advantage of our vast range of local interest maps and books to plan your activities.
