About Yew Craggs
Yew Craggs is a family run B&B in Rosthwaite, the heart of Borrowdale. Stay in one of our en-suite rooms and feast on fabulous fell views while spotting our resident dippers in the nearby beck. Enjoy homemade food prepared with fine local ingredients and accompanied by award-winning breads, teabreads and preserves.
Yew Craggs is under new management – we moved in on 20th December 2018 just in time for a chaotic Christmas! And we are taking bookings from Spring 2019. We have lots of plans, so bookmark this website or follow us on social media to follow our progress.
Location
Yew Craggs is in Rosthwaite, on the banks of Stonethwaite Beck at the heart of Borrowdale with some of the best hill-walking and scenery in the Lake District right on our doorstep.
We are just yards off the route of Wainwright’s coast to coast and the Cumbria Way. And it's just a short walk to the summit of Castle Crag, the smallest Wainwright but with absolutely fantastic views – north to Skiddaw & Derwent Water and south to Great End & Eagle Crag.

Our Rooms
Yew Craggs offers 3 quiet and comfortable bedrooms – 1 on the ground floor and 2 on the first. They can all accommodate 2 people with double bed or twin bed formats available.
Each room is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, and offers wifi and TV just in case you tire of the vista. All rooms have an en suite shower room, complete with soft towels, toiletries and hairdryer.
There are great views of the fells from every room, and you may see some local wildlife from robins and coal tits; to tree creepers, dippers and red squirrels – plus of course the local herdwick sheep.
